ABOUT

Dr. Shaon Shahriar completed his MBBS in 2003 from Mymensingh Medical College. He completed his FCPS in 2012 in Surgery from Bangladesh College of Physicians & Surgeons (BCPS). He went on to complete his MS in 2019 in Hepatobiliary Surgery from Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU). He obtained FACS from American College of Surgeons in 2019.

He is currently working as Associate Professor at Dhaka Medical College and as a consultant Hepatobilliary & Pancreatic surgeon at Aalok Healthcare & Hospital, Mirpur, Dhaka.

He worked as a consultant independently in the field of General Surgery in different medical colleges and specialized institutes for more than 3 years.

Experience:

1. More than 1000 laparoscopic cholecystectomies

2. More than 200 emergency laparotomies for various conditions

3. More than 200 routine laparotomies

4. More than 300 other emergency surgical procedures

5. More than 1000 minor surgical procedures

He worked as a consultant in the field of Hepatobiliary Surgery for more than 4 years

1. 35 Whipple’s procedures

2. 38 triple bypass for advanced pancreatico-biliary malignancies

3. 28 Liver resections

4. 41 Longitudinal pancreato-jejunostomy
